About MMARS

Medical Management and Rehabilitation Services, has been a provider of health care management services since l993.  MMARS is incorporated in the State of Maryland and designated a Minority Business Enterprise, Women’s Business Enterprise in 1997 and Federal Minority Provider.  We have been a URAC accredited case management organization since October 1, 1999, one of the first case management companies to receive this new accreditation from URAC.

MMARS provides comprehensive case management and disease management services across the age spectrum and for a variety of insurance providers.

MMARS is a national company whose commitment is to provide customized, cost effective and comprehensive health care management services.

Our Team

MMARS is a nurse owned company.  The owner and president is Carolyn Miller RN, BSN, CCM who was the founding president of the Chesapeake Chapter of the Case Management Society of America.  The core management team consists of three Registered Nurses who are all Certified Case Managers and who collectively have more than thirty-years experience in case management.  Registered Nurses and Social Workers with three to five (3-5) years’ experience are employed full time to provide case management and other health care management services. 

MMARS team of experienced professionals provides Medical Case Management, Disease Management, Utilization Review, Life Care Planning and Consulting services.

Our Clients 

MMARS clients include Maryland Medical Assistance, Community Services Network of West Tennessee, local and national insurers for group health, liability, short term and long-term disability, re-insurers, Third Party Administrators and Managed Care Organizations.

More than fifty percent of MMARS’ clients are referred from public programs.  MMARS has provided case management for a large part of the Maryland Medical Assistance population not enrolled in managed care organizations.  MMARS is the sole case management provider for a carve-out population of persons with developmental disabilities in west Tennessee.  MMARS also provides disease management and case management services for managed care organizations providing health benefits for Maryland Medical Assistance.
