Our Team

MMARS is a nurse owned company. The owner and president is Carolyn Miller RN, BSN, CCM who was the founding president of the Chesapeake Chapter of the Case Management Society of America. The core management team consists of three Registered Nurses who are all Certified Case Managers and who collectively have more than thirty-years experience in case management. Registered Nurses and Social Workers with three to five (3-5) years’ experience are employed full time to provide case management and other health care management services.

Our Tools

MMARS has developed a number of comprehensive tools to provide our clients with the best in case management. Our consulting team has worked closely with many clients to help improve or in some cases to create their own case management teams, by implementing our tools within their organizations. We are currently working toward leasing some of our proprietary technological solutions also.

Comprehensive quality assurance program. Part of what earned us our URAC accreditation. Our quality assurance program is comprehensive and helps to ensure the highest level of quality case management. It also helps to ensure that our clients receive the level of service that they require, and meet their own contract, government and internal requirements for case management.

Comprehensive policies and procedures. Every client and situation has a specific set of requirements for case management and other services. We work closely with clients to define the policies and procedures required to meet their care population needs, as well as government and contract requirements. Our consulting team can work closely with you to help enhance your current policies and procedures, or provide you with a complete solution including manuals, forms, and other tools tailored to your company’s specific needs.

Population assessment tools and information gathering. Do you fully know your care population? We have developed a number of assessment and information gathering tools to provide you with critical information about the population you manage.

Assess and identify individuals who are at risk.
Assess and identify individuals who require case management or disease management.
Assess and classify care level.
Gather and verify basic demographic information.
Collect baseline information for population analysis.
Meet government and contract requirements for patient contact and assessment.

Our consulting team will work with you to either implement assessment tools from our existing library, or to develop custom assessments and/or information gathering tools for you. Our in-house custom software allows us a tremendous degree of flexibility to provide you with what you need, both on the data collection side, and on the data analysis side.
